The prospect of an easily replaceable SSD seemed like a huge score for prospective Surface owners. The breach began around Dec. 1 but was identified by Norton on Dec. 12, it exposed users’ personal data including names, phones numbers, and mailing addresses along with full access to their password manager vaults. This latest credential-stuffing attack comes on the heels of a similar breach affecting 35,000 PayPal users....

The vulnerability, called BlueKeep, was discovered a few weeks ago in older versions of Windows, including Windows 7, Vista, XP and Server 2008. The flaw is so serious that Microsoft was quickly released patches for Windows XP, an operating system the software giant stopped supporting five years ago, as well as Windows 7 and Server 2008 (Vista got nothing, however.) The Pixel 6 Pro is a generational leap for Google hardware, which is particularly shocking coming from the decidedly mid-range Pixel 5 last year.
